Coverings is now accepting entries for two of its signature awards programs: the 2027 Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards and the 2027 Coverings Rock Stars. Whether you’ve completed an exceptional tile or stone project or know an emerging industry leader deserving of recognition, now is the time to submit.
Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards
The Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the design and installation of ceramic tile and stone across residential, institutional and commercial projects.
Architects, designers, builders, contractors, installers, distributors, retailers and other industry professionals are encouraged to submit their best work for consideration.
Projects are evaluated for qualities including creativity, craftsmanship and outstanding use of ceramic tile or stone, with recognition spanning both design and installation.
Eligible projects for the 2027 awards must have been completed between January 2025 and December 2026. Organizations may submit up to three entries at no cost, and qualifying projects may be entered into multiple categories.
Judges are particularly interested in projects that demonstrate originality, innovative uses of materials or technology, installation excellence, and sustainable materials and practices.
Selected winners will receive valuable industry recognition and will be celebrated at Coverings 2027 taking place from April 6–9 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Winners will also gain additional exposure through Coverings and industry media through the year.

Coverings Rock Stars
Great projects aren’t the only things worth celebrating. Coverings also wants to recognize the emerging leaders moving the tile and stone industry forward.
The Coverings Rock Stars, an Emerging Leaders Program, honors talented young professionals who are making an impact on the industry and demonstrating the potential to become its next generation of leaders.
Industry professionals are encouraged to nominate outstanding talent 35 years of age or younger who are currently working in the tile and stone industry. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Eligible professionals represent a wide range of roles, including architects, builders and remodelers, contractors, designers, distributors, installers, manufacturers, retailers, stone fabricators and trade association professionals. New for 2027, the Rock Stars program also includes a marketing category, expanding the opportunity to recognize those who are helping shape and promote the tile, stone, and design industry.
Nominees are evaluated by industry leaders based on factors such as industry involvement, career growth, leadership development, community and volunteer contributions, continuing education, and the qualities that distinguish them as emerging leaders.
The 2027 Coverings Rock Stars will be recognized at Coverings 2027 in Orlando and will have opportunities to build valuable industry connections, gain recognition and participate in professional development opportunities.
