The 2025 Coverings winner for Commercial Stone Design goes to Charleston Place Hotel, designed by Sunray Flooring Company. During this renovation, the main goal was to achieve the look of high class Southern sophistication mixed with the timeless elegance of European style. The stones chosen for this project represent the blend of these styles perfectly. This exquisite stone installation marks the first phase of a multi-year renovation at one of Charleston’s most iconic luxury hotels. Over the course of six weeks, master craftsmen installed stunning stones from Italy and Turkey, meticulously hand-cut and thoughtfully arranged into elaborate patterns. The project spanned throughout the meeting room kitchenettes, restrooms, and the elegant lobby and elevator mezzanine. This project showcases expert craftsmanship and sets the stage for future renovations celebrating Charleston’s rich heritage and elegance.
