Commercial Stone Design Winner
Redefining the Classic Brownstone
Materials Marketing
Chicago, Illinois

As crafters of natural stone, the world’s oldest building material, we love getting back to classic design.

For this classic brownstone in Chicago, we returned to the historic roots of the city and approached the design with modern technology.

While we may draft and design with modern programs, when it comes to carving, we do everything by hand like we did when we started carving stone over 55 years ago.

This allows us to have a truly unique and custom product, and for this project, it benefited us as we were matching a historic streetscape.

This product includes a combination of honed stone blocks, chopped veneer, and carved trims.

Do you have a recently completed project that features innovative design and installation of tile & stone? Consider entering it to the 2021 CID Awards – the submission portal will open this fall.
