Our exploration of the wide-variety of content-rich learning opportunities from Coverings 2021 is coming to a close. We have reviewed the sessions that were concentrated in three conference tracksMaterials & Trends, Workforce & Profits, and Installation & Fabricationas well as educational opportunities that took place on the show floor, including the presentations on the Installation Demonstration Stage and the Engage Interviews.

Now last, but certainly not least, let’s dive into the amazing Artisans in Tile seven-part series that was broadcasted live onsite in the Coverings Lounge and virtually. The tile artisan team of Lee Callewaert of Dragonfly Tile and Stone Works, Grafton, Wisconsin, and Joshua Nordstrom of Tierra Tile, Homer, Alaska – both Certified Tile Installers – joined forces to demonstrate and share their insights on the design, build, and installation of the Florida gator-themed mosaic tile project. Moderated by the National Tile Contractors Association training director, Mark Heinlein, they also highlighted the historical importance of tile installation as an artisan craft.
