2025 CID Award Winner Spotlight: Residential Ceramic Tile Design

Clarkston Primary Bathroom 2

At Coverings 2025, we honored 22 outstanding projects that demonstrated spectacular craftsmanship and creativity in the use of tile and stone. This week we’re spotlighting the 2025 CID Award winner for Residential Ceramic Tile Design.

Project: Clarkston Primary Bathroom

Designer: Armina Interiors

Location: Clarkston, Michigan, USA

The 2025 Coverings winner for Residential Ceramic Tile Design goes to Clarkston Primary Bathroom, a project completed by Armina Interiors. A once-dated master bathroom was transformed into a breathtaking spa-like retreat. The ceiling was lowered and the water closet enclosed, creating a more cohesive flow, enhancing privacy and visual harmony. By mixing rough, organic stone with a smooth porcelain, the design achieves a dynamic blend of shapes, textures and light. This combination elevates the atmosphere, creating a warm and visually captivating space. The striking vanity combines Limestone Field tile in Jerusalem Pearl with a sleek Sahara Blanc Atech porcelain slab, which extends seamlessly throughout the space. A luxurious soaking tub with a heated backrest and a multi-head steam shower add to the spa-like experience. Every element was chosen with intention, creating a refined and lavish escape.
