Ceramics of Italy is gearing up to return to the Las Vegas Convention Center for Coverings 2026, North America’s premier international tile and stone exhibition, taking place March 30-April 2, 2026. Now in its 36th edition, Coverings brings together architects, designers, developers, and specifiers for four days of inspiration, innovation, and discovery. At the heart of the show, the Italian Pavilion in the North Hall will feature over 50 premier Italian tile brands, curated by Confindustria Ceramica (the Association of Italian Ceramics). From timeless elegance to cutting-edge applications, these brands will highlight the latest trends and collections in color, surface technology, performance, sustainability, and versatile applications across residential, commercial, hospitality, and public spaces.
A Hub for Networking and Inspiration
Anchoring the pavilion, Ceramics of Italy’s booth (#1345), designed by global architecture firm HDR, will showcase stunning tile collections and applications while serving as a vibrant hub for networking and conversation. With an open, inviting landscape, attendees are encouraged to pause, connect, and recharge while enjoying authentic Italian espresso and treats. The booth’s design integrates a variety of leading Ceramics of Italy member brands, including Appiani, Ceramica Vogue, Cotto d’Este, La Fabbrica, Lea Ceramiche, Mirage, and Naxos, demonstrating the versatility of Italian ceramics across a wide range of applications.
The booth will also be the go-to destination for announcements about new campaigns and initiatives, including Ceramics of Italy’s branded campaign “The Fine Art of Living” and the annual Destination: Cersaie program. This program invites North American design professionals to apply for an exclusive experience at CERSAIE 2026 – the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings – taking place in Bologna, Italy, from September 21–25, 2026.
Expanding Possibilities in Tile Design
Across the pavilion, exhibitors will showcase the evolving applications of ceramic and porcelain surfaces, from integrated countertops and induction cooktops to prefabricated washbasins, vanities, dining tables, and furniture. Innovative solutions for showers, for example, highlight how tile is moving beyond a surface material to become a fully integrated design element through sophisticated drainage systems and removable trays.
Emerging surface technologies, such as anti-slip and anti-microbial features, will also be on display alongside ultra-realistic finishes, bold decorative effects, and trending color palettes ranging from cool, desaturated tones to monochrome schemes. Together, these innovations demonstrate Italian tile’s capacity to blend new design directions with functionality and sustainability.
Education, Panels, and Celebrations
Coverings 2026 also offers a rich program of professional learning and exchange. On Monday, March 30, the Global Tile Trends session at 11:00 AM in Room N250 will feature Danielle McWilliams, Executive Vice President of Novità Communications and Ceramics of Italy representative, who will explore international design movements through the lenses of sustainability, wellness, luxury, and outdoor living. This will be followed at 12:30 PM by a panel on Sustainability and Circular Design with Mauro Rullo, Sustainability and Climate Policy Officer at Confindustria Ceramica, who will discuss durability, adaptive reuse, and the central role of tile and stone in circular design strategies.
Ceramics of Italy will also host its annual International Press Conference, with exciting announcements around the 2026 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition, which will be chaired by Steve Clem, Principal at Atlanta-based TVS. Adding to the week’s celebrations, the 2026 Confindustria Ceramica North American Distributor Award will be announced, honoring a distributor whose expertise and commitment have significantly advanced the presence of Italian ceramics in North America, with the recipient recognized during a special aperitivo event.
Looking Ahead
With an impressive lineup of brands, innovative products, and dynamic programming, Ceramics of Italy at Coverings 2026 promises to set the tone for the year ahead in tile design and applications.
