Alena Capra

Meet Our Coverings 2026 Industry Spokesperson and Ambassador

Alena Capra is the principal of Alena Capra Designs, an award-winning design firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With over two decades of experience in interior design, Alena is a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer (CMKBD) and a proud graduate of both the University of Miami and the Metropolitan Institute of Design.

Throughout her distinguished career, Alena has received numerous accolades, including being named Kitchen & Bath Business 2024 Person of the Year and “Influential Design Industry Professional of 2024” at the Miami RED Awards. She was also recognized as one of Kitchen & Bath Design News “Top 50 Innovators” and selected as a Praiseworthy Pick for KBB Person of the Year in 2019. Other notable achievements include winning Cosentino’s “Bath of the Year” in 2015, securing 2nd Place in the NKBA Design Competition’s Small Bath Category, and being a finalist for National Kitchen & Bath Association’s “Professional of the Year” Award in 2016.

Alena’s passion for tile and stone has led her to serve as the Industry Ambassador/Spokesperson for Coverings, the largest global tile & stone exhibition in North America, for over eleven years. She is also the spokesperson for Armina Stone in Miami. Known for her engaging public speaking, Alena regularly appears as a guest speaker or panelist at industry events, trade shows, and home shows. Her work has been featured in numerous national and regional media outlets.

A passionate advocate for giving back, Alena has dedicated her talents to designing spaces for charitable organizations such as the Kid Sanctuary Campus, Ronald McDonald House, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and the Salvation Army. Alena is also a proud alumnus of both the University of Miami Sunsations Dance Team and the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, and enjoys participating in alumni events with both organizations.

2. Access

We will review your application and get back to you in five business days to let you know if you’ve been accepted.

At that time, we’ll provide you with your unique and personalized registration promo code, program guidelines, and suggested content you can use to invite your colleagues and friends to Coverings!

3. Share

Start inviting your colleagues and friends to join you at Coverings 2026. Remember, be authentic and have fun! We’re here to support you along the way.

Interested in becoming a Coverings Ambassador but not sure where to start? Our FAQs break down everything from responsibilities to benefits, giving you a clear understanding of the program.

Coverings Ambassadors are individuals who help us spread the word about Coverings 2026, taking place March 30 – April 2 in Las Vegas.

Anyone who has been to at least one Coverings show, regularly works with ceramic tile and/or natural stone, is based in the U.S. or Canada, conducts themselves in a professional manner, and is enthusiastic about Coverings. They are likely experts or authorities within their respective field (i.e. tile/stone distribution, retail, or installation, stone fabrication, architecture/design, building, etc.) and present no conflict of interest within their company or other brands they may work with by becoming a Coverings Ambassador.

Complete and submit this easy and short Coverings Ambassador application. We will then review your application and let you know within 5 business days if you’ve been accepted into the program.

No! We value any perspective and unique voice, no matter the number of followers.

Coverings Ambassadors can promote the show in whatever way is best for them, be it a simple email message or phone call to industry friends, social media post, or just talking about the show when out on a job site or in a regular conversation. We will provide Coverings Ambassadors with suggested graphics and copy they can use when promoting the show, but they should be authentic, share their own honest stories and opinions, and can create their own creative assets and copy if they wish.

Using the show’s tag #Coverings2026 on social media is strongly recommended so we can reshare their content. And, of course, using the personalized promo code is a must in order to receive incentives. The more they spread the word about Coverings 2026, the better but we recommend starting at least once a month leading up to Coverings in Orlando.
