Coverings is honored to have Gary Sinise, actor, humanitarian, and founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation, participate in a keynote session at Coverings 2026 on April 1 from 8:30-9:15 AM.
In recognition of his inspiring work, Coverings is proud to donate $20,000 through our Coverings Cares initiative to benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation, which supports our nation’s veterans, first responders, heroes and defenders.
We invite you to join us in supporting this worthy cause—Coverings will also match individual donations dollar for dollar, up to an additional $5,000. Donations can be made online through the Coverings registration system.
Gary Sinise’s stage, film and television career has spanned more than four decades. He is widely known for his Oscar-nominated performance as Lt. Dan Taylor in “Forrest Gump” as well as acclaimed roles in “Apollo 13,” “The Green Mile” and “CSI: NY.”
For more than 40 years, Sinise has stood as an advocate on behalf of America’s service members. He founded the Gary Sinise Foundation in 2011 through which initiatives like R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) build and adapt mortgage-free homes for America’s heroes. The foundation partners with architects, builders and other skilled craftspeople—including tile and stone professionals—to provide the homes to those in service who have been severely wounded during their acts of bravery and heroism. The foundation also aids first responders through facility, equipment and resilience programs, reflecting its strong connection to the broader design and construction community.
Through our Coverings Cares program, Coverings is committed to supporting the tile and stone industry, green initiatives, and the local community that hosts the show each year. Here’s a breakdown of how the Coverings community gave back in 2024!

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) is a nonprofit educational institution that offers local, regional, and national training programs for consumers, installers, construction professionals, architects, designers, building inspectors, and sales associates interested in the sale and installation of ceramic tile.

The Gary Sinise Foundation serves and honors America’s defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. They do this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities. Today, the Foundation is building custom homes for severely wounded heroes, honoring and supporting the families of our fallen, providing essential equipment and training for first responders, improving the mental wellness of our defenders, assisting with recent hurricane recovery and rebuild efforts, and so much more.
